Pingen
Here was the last open “Pinge” in the Bulacher district. At the beginning of mining in the Bulacher district nearly 1000 years ago the ore was mined in open cast mining in so-called “Pingen”.
The “Pingen” lined up along the main ore deposit, the so-called “Segen-Gottes-Gang”. In the middle of the “Pinge” was the pit, the place of mining, it looks like a molehill. The unusable rock was piled up all around.
It was also used to fill the pits again after mining. Today the “Pingenfelder” can still be proved. When you dig in the ground you can find stones with crystals and rests of malachite and azurite.
